Our first sheep were Romney crosses, good dual purpose, meat and wool, sheep. Our intent was for these to be our breeding stock......
Gulf Coast Native Sheep
Shortly after acquiring our first ewes we were looking for a ram.....
That's when we came across a Gulf Coast Native ram available..... So, we started doing some research into the breed. Gulf Coast Natives are one of the oldest breeds in the United States, descended from flocks brought over by Spanish settlers. Gulf Coast Natives are a heritage breed, dual purpose, and have some wonderful qualities that we were looking for in our flock.
Our Romney cross offspring are now offered for meat, and our Gulf Coast Native line will continue to improve the breed as well as producing wonderful
