When looking for pigs to raise on the farm we wanted to make sure we were able to have a great product but not be overwhelmed with the size. American mini pigs fit the bill and offered a dual purpose, which fits wonderfully with our other animals.
Size Matters
Often pigs are raised for their size, but it is often difficult for one person to handle a regular sized pig. Also, smaller families are often overwhelmed by the amount of meat or need for a large separate freezer required for regular sized hogs. Mini pigs provide excellent meat without worry about being overrun by a 300+ pound pig.
Pet Worthy
Not only are pigs delectable, but these little ones also make great pets. Pigs are considered mini at under 300 pounds, most of which is made up of solid weight and not height. You are able to housebreak a mini pig as well as train them to do tricks. All of our males available for purchase are castrated, unless you contact us when a new litter is first announced and let us know you would like an intact male.
